Inspiring Young Readers
posted on 27 Sep 2026
We’d like you to meet our very first Letterpress Project Junior Ambassador – Naomi (aged 12). She will be helping us with our work in schools and promoting the message of the Project to friends, family and her teachers.
Firstly, Naomi tells us a bit about herself and this is followed by a link to her longer interview:
My name is Naomi Adeoya, I am 12 years old, and I am the first junior ambassador for The Letterpress Project,
WHAT IS MY FAVOURITE BOOK?
My favourite book is War Horse by Michael Morpurgo. I love this book because it shows the hard life of the animals involved in WW1 and shows how to look after horses. It shows rough times from a horse’s perspective.
WHAT DO I ACTUALLY DO IN MY FREE TIME?
Apart from reading books, I have lots of interests. When I have free time, I usually go upstairs and play with my teddies (usually Brave and Snow White and occasionally Moana and Mary Poppins) Sometimes I make pictures to decorate my room with. Lots of the walls that make up my room are almost covered with fashion designs. I also enjoy singing.
WHAT IS MY FAVOURITE TV SHOW AND WHY?
My favourite TV show is the Twilight movies. I love these movies since they are a mix of action, romance, and horror. I think they show how hard life can be for the unknown and unrecognised. I also think that the cast did really well with memorising all their lines and with the facial expressions…..mwah!!!
WHAT AM I EXTREMLEY DEDICATED TO?
One of my lifeline needs is K-POP. I have a celebrity crush called Lee Felix Yong-Bok (AKA Lixie, but only I call him that).I also do some witch practice (AKA herbal magic) I love doing fashion design and I’m hoping one day I can be a model.
Some of my favourite fashion designs are included at the bottom of this page.
WHAT ARE MY PLANS AS A JUNIOR AMBASSADOR?
As the first junior ambassador for the Letterpress Project, I already have a lot of ideas:
A local newspaper about printed books.
New book updates/ new authors and I could possibly include eco-friendly life hacks.
Interviews with my fellow students and teachers
Talking to libraries about the Letterpress Project
